Luxury SUV with Chauffeur in Paris

Range Rover Vogue Autobiography LWB

The vehicle asked for by name when the party arrives with everything it owns, or when the day ends somewhere a sedan would rather not go.

The category

A sedan’s manners, an estate’s capacity

The Luxury SUV answers two questions at once: how 3 people travel in the comfort of a long-wheelbase car, and how they do it seated high, with the city legible through the window and a boot that takes 3 large cases with the rear seats still free. It is also, of the passenger cars we operate, the one most often asked for by name: the long-wheelbase Range Rover has been the discreet choice of British households of the first rank for two generations, and guests who ask for it know exactly why.

Range Rover Vogue Autobiography LWB

The long-wheelbase Autobiography is the chauffeured specification: individual rear seats that recline, a raised seating position that makes Paris legible through the window, and a boot that takes 3 large cases and 2 cabin bags with the rear seats still free. It is also the quietest cabin in the fleet at low speed, which is most of what a Paris journey is. It is operated as a plug-in hybrid, the P460e or the P550e, which is what allows a vehicle of this presence to be homologated between 16 and 18 grams of CO₂ per kilometre.

No car stays in the fleet beyond 4 years. Every vehicle is replaced on a 4-year cycle. A Range Rover is a demanding car to keep at this standard, which is precisely why we do not keep one beyond 4 years.
Choosing well

Is this the right car for you?

Choosing a vehicle is rarely a question of the badge on the bonnet. It is a question of who travels, what they carry, and what the day asks of them. Here is who this one is for.

You arrive with a full set of luggage

3 large suitcases and 2 cabin bags, with the rear seats still free, which is 1 large case more than either sedan carries. For a family arriving for a season, or a shoot with cases, a Cargo Van follows the vehicle and takes the rest.

You want to sit up, and to see out

The high seating position changes the journey. Paris reads differently from a Range Rover than from a sedan, and for guests who tire of being driven low it is the single most appreciated detail.

The day leaves the city

Champagne in February, a château at the end of a gravel drive, a chalet road in the Alps. The Luxury SUV goes where a long-wheelbase sedan would be a poor idea, and arrives without drama.

Consider another vehicle if

Your luggage is modest and the journey stays within Paris.

4 or more, and each passenger needs a seat of their own.

Luggage

What actually fits in the boot

Luggage is the single most common surprise on the day of travel. Numbers on a website are easy to write and hard to live with, so here is what this car carries, stated plainly. By a large suitcase we mean the hold format, up to 75 cm; by a small one, the cabin format. Both travel in the boot.

Three large suitcases is a genuine three, measured with real cases and three passengers on board. Beyond that, or with skis and golf bags in addition, a Cargo Van following the vehicle is the cleaner answer than a boot packed to the roofline. We will tell you which you need when you enquire.

Travelling with skis, golf bags, instruments or trade-show material? A Cargo Van can follow your vehicle and carry the overflow. See the Cargo Van.

3 large suitcases, hold format, up to 75 cm  ·  2 small suitcases, cabin format

The load floor is high and flat, which matters with heavy cases: your chauffeur lifts them once, not twice. Soft bags and coats travel with you in the rear.

Our rates for a Luxury SUV

Every figure is inclusive of VAT and covers one vehicle with its chauffeur. The amount agreed in writing before your journey is the amount invoiced.

Full day at your disposal8 hours, 20 km included per hour
from€2,040

Every rate includes your chauffeur for the whole of the service, fuel, tolls and parking, onboard Wi-Fi and still water, full insurance and a licensed vehicle. At the airports, 60 minutes of waiting are included, counted from the moment the aircraft lands rather than from the scheduled arrival time, which is what matters when a flight is late. At every other pickup, 15 minutes are included.

Rates are in euros. They are a point of departure, not a quotation: the final figure depends on the date, the hour, the exact addresses and the duration of the service. Journeys beyond the Paris ring road are charged per kilometre in addition. A written quotation is always issued, and agreed, before a booking is confirmed.

We do not offer discounts. Our rates are the same for everyone on the same service.

Questions

Before you book

How many passengers and suitcases does the Luxury SUV take?
The Luxury SUV, a Range Rover Vogue Autobiography Long Wheelbase, carries up to 3 passengers, excluding the chauffeur, with 3 large suitcases and 2 cabin bags, 1 large case more than either sedan carries. For 4 or more passengers, or for more luggage than that, the Executive Van (Mercedes V-Class XL) is the appropriate vehicle.
Why choose the Luxury SUV rather than the Luxury Sedan?
For two reasons, and only two. Luggage: 3 large cases against 2, with 2 cabin bags in addition. And seating height: you sit up rather than down, which makes entry and exit easier and the view of the city better. On comfort of the rear cabin the two are close, both being long-wheelbase cars with individual reclining seats. If neither of those two reasons applies to your journey, the choice between the two is a personal one, and we will hold whichever car you name.
Is the Luxury SUV suitable for a day outside Paris?
It is the vehicle we recommend most often for one. Versailles, the Champagne houses, the Loire châteaux, Deauville, Normandy and the Alpine resorts are regular destinations, and the Range Rover handles a gravel drive, a wet mountain road or a long motorway run with equal composure. Journeys beyond the Paris ring road are charged per kilometre in addition to the base rate, and the full figure is stated in your quotation.
How long will the chauffeur wait for me?
At Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Orly and Le Bourget, 60 minutes of waiting are included, and they run from the moment the aircraft touches down, not from the arrival time printed on your ticket. A delayed flight therefore costs you nothing. At any other pickup, in the city or elsewhere, 15 minutes are included. Beyond that, waiting is charged at the hourly rate of the vehicle and is always confirmed with you before it applies.
Is the price fixed in advance?
Yes. A written quotation is issued before any booking is confirmed, and the figure agreed is the figure invoiced. Fuel, tolls and parking are included. Only a change you request on the day, such as an added stop or an extended duration, alters the amount, and it is confirmed with you before it applies.
Can I book the Luxury SUV for a full day?
Yes. A vehicle at your disposal is booked for a minimum of 4 hours, with 20 kilometres included per hour, and the chauffeur remains with you throughout. A full day of 8 hours starts at €2,040 inclusive of VAT. It is the usual arrangement for a day in the Champagne region, a family visiting the city, or a shoot moving between locations.
Is the Luxury SUV a hybrid?
Yes. The Range Rover is operated as a plug-in hybrid, the P460e or the P550e, which pairs a 3-litre 6-cylinder petrol engine with an electric drive and is homologated between 16 and 18 grams of CO₂ per kilometre on the WLTP cycle. For a company reporting on the emissions of its ground transport, it is the figure to quote, and we will state it in writing on request.
We are 5, with luggage. Is the Luxury SUV the answer?
No. The seated capacity of the chauffeured specification is 3 passengers: 2 individual seats in the rear of the vehicle, and a third beside the chauffeur. For 5 with luggage, the Executive Van (Mercedes V-Class XL) carries 7 passengers, 6 large suitcases and 3 small ones, and is the roomier answer. We would tell you this when you enquire rather than let you discover it at the kerb.
